55-year-old Jean Currivan is the wife of a longtime Jeopardy host, Alex Trebek. Her husband initially joined Jeopardy in 1984.

Back in 2014, the 80-year-old TV host got so upset after an email suggesting he was leaving the shot got leaked; he threatened the producers with leaving, luckily for him, wife Jean has been Mrs. Trebek for a while now and we assume she had a lot with him cooling down.

When the couple met Jean was a real estate project manager, she grew up in Huntington, N.Y.

The two met at a party in 1988 and after a dinner invitation, sparks flew between them. They tied the knot in 1990 before 150 guests at L.A.’s Regency Club, where Trebek famously responded to his critical cue by saying, “The answer is… yes.”

He popped the question on Jean’s 26th birthday with a 16-carat sapphire ring, surrounded by six carats’ worth of diamonds. The couple has been married for 24-years and their 24-year age disparity hasn’t been a problem.

They have been happily married and are the proud parents of two. Jean became pregnant very quickly after the wedding, she gave birth to son Matthew in 1990 and daughter, Emily in 1993.

According to her Facebook, Jean attended Harborfields High School graduating in 1982, she and her family currently reside in California.

Back in 1990, Currivan told People that dating the host made her really nervous at first, “But Alex is really down to earth. He’s much more casual than he is on the show.”

Trebek was previously married to Elaine Callei, the couple remained together for 11-years but had no children; although he adopted Elaine’s daug.hter Nicky

On November 8, 2020, Jean said goodbye to her beloved husband, who died at the age of 80, from pancreatic cancer.

Meet Nicky Trebek; she is the eldest daughter of Jeopardy host Alex Trebek and his first wife Elaine Callie, now Elaine Kares.

Mr. Trebek announced he was battling stage IV pancreatic cancer in 2019; he died at the age of 80, on November 8, 2020.

Nicky Trebek’s mom, Elaine Callie, a model,  host, and businesswoman who prior to marrying Mr. Trebek married Louis Callei.

Elaine was living with her then 8-year-old daughter Nicky when she and Alex tied the knot on September 24, 1974; He subsequently adopted Nicky, hence she is nowadays known as Nicky Trebek.

Her parents divorced on May 13, 1982; Nicky remained close to Alex and eventually with her siblings Matthew and Emily, born from her dad’s second marriage to Jean Currivan.

Nicky Trebek was born on January 8, 1966, in Toronto, Ontario, and grew up in Los Angeles. She did some modeling late in the 90s’; appeared in ads in Glamour Magazine, Mademoiselle, Vogue, Cosmo, among others.

She is also involved in music and is the artist behind Rockidolclothing. 

Regarding music, Nicky has worked with Phil Collings, Goo Goo Dolls, John Mellencamp. More recently she recorded her latest single Every Beat of Your Heart with producer Loren Harriet.

She received her certification as a drug and alcohol counselor from Loyola Marymount University in 2012, she works independently as a recovery worker and sober companion.

In addition to all of the previously mentioned, Nicky Trebek worked in production on Jeopardy.

The blonde attended the Dalton School in Manhattan, and studied acting at the Herbert Berghof Studio, and later at the Lee Strasberg Institute.

She landed the role for which she is known in 1985 when she was cast to play Ellen Reed –the girlfriend of Michael J. Fox on the sitcom Family Ties.

The couple met on the set of the popular sitcom which ran from 1982 until 1989. However, they didn’t become romantically involved until later.

Tracy Pollan was dating at the time, another actor, Kevin Bacon. They dated in the 1980s. It was in 1988 that they found themselves working together again in Bright Lights, Big City, that they began dating. They tied the knot the same year and have been together ever since.

Tracy Pollan has kept acting and has done a number of TV films, TV appearances, and Theater through the years.

Tracy Pollan is the mother of the couple’s four children: Sam Michael Fox, who was born May 30, 1989; Followed by twins, Aquinnah Kathleen and Schuyler Frances, born February 15, 1995; and last, daughter Esmé Annabelle, born November 3, 2001.

Tracy Pollan told People, the secret to their marriage is: “You just have [to have] the perspective that you’re behind each other’s back – and it helps if you can make each other laugh.”

Tracy’s hubby left Spin City in 2000 to launch the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research and focus on family. The Michael J. Fox Foundation is dedicated to finding better treatments and, ultimately, a cure for Parkinson’s disease.

He has continued to make guest-starring on such shows as Scrubs, Boston Legal, and The Good Wife.

The Green Cross Man was a  superhero whose main goal was to promote road safety for children. The promotion which ran from 1971 until 1990, awarded him with a place as a Member of the Order of the British Empire  (MBE) in the 2000 New Year Honours.

Health & Death

David Prowse struggled with arthritis since he was 13, the symptoms went away for over 4 decades until they reappeared in 1990.

11 years later, he lost mobility of both arms due to septic arthritis; in March 2009 stated a battle with prostate cancer.

Tabloids published an article in November 2014, claiming he was suffering from dementia, but Mr. Prowse denied the allegations and said age had been messing with his memory, but those problems had nothing to with dementia whatsoever.

David Prowse died at his home in London on November 28, 2020, at the age of 85. He was surrounded by his beloved family.

Several of his co-stars quickly responded to the news of his death.

“He was a kind man and much more than Darth Vader,” Mark Hamill said on Twitter. “He loved his fans as much as they loved him.”

“Dave’s iconic figure dominated the finished film in ’77 and has done so ever since,” Anthony Daniels, who has played C-3PO wrote on Twitter on Sunday.

“I hope you’re up there sharing a pint and a story with the boys,” said the tweet posted by the Peter Mayhew (played Chewbacca) Foundation.

His agent Thomas Bowington, who confirmed the actor’s death after a short illness commented.

He was a senior production plant manager for the Israeli Military Industries from 1988 to 1993; worked for Eastman Kodak as a suppliers quality manager from 1993 to 2007. Not only Gal Gadot’s husband Yaron Varsano made a small cameo on her new film Wonder Woman 1984;  she was overjoyed that along with Yaron, both their daughters Alma and Maya had theirs as well.
